The FREEDOM TOUR is quite a balancing act.

Get it? Bikes…balancing? Okay, it’s a bad pun. But in current circumstances, our team is doing an actual balancing act.

And you’re wondering about “Coming Soon,” right? Keep reading…

As restrictions are relaxed, we hear so many contradictory messages. Most organized bike rides have canceled. It’s safe to ride bikes. Gathering together is risky. Wear a mask. Open the economy.

And what about those 22 kids who didn’t get to take a break from living in a HOME OF HOPE.

Do we give up? Cancel, wait until 2021? Or do we push forward despite the danger. Do we refuse to allow anyone to tell us what we can or cannot do?

I have no answers. “Balance” isn’t my thing…my bike has three wheels. However, I have an idea about a framework.

I’m a follower of Jesus…I’m free. Period. When I wonder about “what’s right” I don’t seek the government’s advice.

And, I’m a follower of Jesus…I’m supposed to love my neighbor.

“Everything is permissible; not everything is beneficial.” 1 Cor 10:23

The Message uses these words. “We want to live well, but our foremost efforts should be to help others live well.”

Viewed through that lens, there’s no balancing act. I don’t have to fuss with what’s allowed. “What’s right” is about what demonstrates love, care, and concern for others.

We ARE going to ride bikes in 2020…not because we have the right to do it, but because we believe it’s the right thing to do. The question isn’t whether we can, or even whether we should. Because our mission hasn’t changed.

We cycle to bring hope and freedom to kids rescued from human trafficking.

The question is how? How do we do what we love, and invite more people into the circle, support our kids, and raise awareness about human trafficking, while caring about the safety of our riders, volunteers, and everyone we encounter as we ride?

And what does all of that mean for FREEDOM TOUR 2020?

The short answer is – we’re working on it. Our team continues to closely monitor the COVID-19 situation in Colorado. We’ll do our best to make decisions based on information and data from medical experts. Updates on our events are coming soon.

Meanwhile…

We have exciting news. We’re about to open the doors to a wonderful new opportunity. We’re putting the final touches on a chance for even more folks to join this circle and support our precious children. We’ll let you know when we’re ready. I know you’re excited, but you’ll just have to wait a couple of days.

Coming Soon!
