It’s All About The Likes

How many likes did I get?

The epic selfie, the spontaneous staged video. If I can attract just a second or two of your attention, maybe you’ll like me or follow me or **gasp** maybe even be my friend.

We all know the secret. No big deal if I got a hot dog at a Rockies’ game. Put the same hot dog in a photo with Monte and the timeline lights up with likes, hearts, and gushy comments.

Nothing wrong with a fun selfie, and it’s okay if you like Monte more than me. But this question from a pastor got me thinking.

Who’s Following Whom?

Do you and I focus so much on following each other that we lose sight of the one who said, “Follow Me?”

I hope you’ll follow the FREEDOM TOUR. I hope you’ll read the blog and like the photos. Ultimately, I hope you’ll find your role in this crazy circle and join us. We need you on the team.

But I hope, in the end, it’s never about following us, or a bike ride, or a cause. I hope every word and video and photo is about following Jesus.

Even if it’s Monte’s goofy pink nose and floppy ears.
