Perhaps you’ve noticed…no posts this week.
I’d like to introduce you the newest member of our family, and the reason I’ve done no writing for a few days.
This is Ernie. He’s 8 weeks old. He has more energy than Becky and me, as well as being quicker and more persistent than we are. And he apparently believes everything – furniture, plants, slippers, toes, wheelchair parts – needs to be chewed. Everything except the half-dozen specialty dog toys.
With much help from our friend Steve, we hope Ernie will become a trained service dog as well as a new member of the team. I look forward to lots of biking miles and frisbee tossing hours.
So Ernie’s the focus for now. Things like training, promoting the FREEDOM TOUR, and writing blog posts are happening in the margins.
It’s okay. Ernie will add a lot to the team. It’s worth taking time to make sure he’s happy and comfortable in his new home.
