Fixing Bikes, Making Friends

Jeff Dante PhilThe best thing about the FREEDOM TOUR is sharing it.

In fact, that’s one of the main reasons for doing it. We want to create a community that empowers people to trust God, work together as servant leaders, and offer hope to others. So we look for ways to expand the circle.

Several guys from Harvest Farm have joined us the last two years for the first day of our tour. They make a big commitment to ride nearly 60 miles from Cheyenne to Fort Collins. Of course they have to train and prepare, all to be involved in a story bigger than themselves.

Many of the men don’t have bikes, or their bikes need some TLC before doing this many miles. So with the help of a generous sponsor we got some bikes. And last Saturday several members of our team showed up to tune, clean, adjust, and fix. But the day wasn’t about bikes.

andrewThe day was about new friends. It was about bringing new people into the circle, telling them about the kids at the HOME OF HOPE, and sharing the joy that comes from being part of this story.

Thanks to Woody Hodgdon, Jeff Moore, Phil Smith, Andrew Thorne, and our newest team member Dante Conti for volunteering to get their hands dirty. And special thanks to our friends from Harvest Farm who enrich our circle by joining it.

We look forward to riding together as a team on June 20.

It’s gonna be a blast!

Smiles
