Whose Dream Will You Follow?

Stop HumanI absolutely believe we’re wired to follow big dreams.

However, I don’t buy the sappy notion “if you believe it you can achieve it.” I’ve said before that Jiminy Cricket’s advice to Pinocchio to wish upon a star made for a great song, but I’m not seeking wisdom from a bug.

In Genesis 12, Abram followed a big dream, but it was God’s dream rather than his own.

The Lord had said to Abram, “Go from your country, your people and your father’s household to the land I will show you. (Genesis 12:1)

If you’re been here a while you’ve seen my definition of a dream: A God-inspired desire to share your unique gifts and talents to serve others and change the world.

God-inspired–His dream, not mine.

Requires listening. Requires obedience. Requires trust, and courage, and sacrifice.

One guarantee. Wherever the dream leads, you won’t be alone.
