Autopilot

Happy Monday!

In my world, I need to begin this week with a renewed commitment. That’s because of my word-of-the-week…

AUTOPILOT

I feel like I need to apologize to you.

A whole bunch of things got really busy during the past two weeks, most of them related to RICH’S RIDE. I realized over the weekend that I put Bouncing Back on autopilot.

I wrote the articles and posted them on time, but that’s not what this is about for me. I want to cultivate and grow a circle around this blog that fosters thought and discussion. That means that Bouncing Back, for me, is about relationships.

Here’s the point: we all get busy, but you can’t put important relationships on autopilot. You can’t ignore interactions and stop responding to messages. Well, you can, but before long those folks are going to get the point.

Most of us agree that people matter more than tasks. My experience during the past two weeks demonstrates that my actions don’t always match my words.

Relationships won’t fly themselves. So this week I’m turning off the autopilot.

How about you?

Have a great week!
