Three days until blastoff.
We’ll gather, load bikes and gear, and pile bodies into vehicles for the drive to Gunnison. COLORADO MOUNTAIN TOUR will be officially underway.

For me, the days before a tour are a time to slow down and reflect. While everyone else scrambles with packing, shopping, and a thousand other details, it’s my role to focus on the mission. How will we use our time together to deepen our sense of community? How can I help us create a broader understanding of the kids at the Home of Hope?
It’s not like I haven’t been pondering these questions for months. Now, though, reality means we have a few short days together, and most of those days will be spent cycling, resting, eating. What can I add?
It’s a time to remind myself – and maybe you as well – this isn’t about me! It’s my task to do my best and trust Jesus for the outcome. I can only create space. He will touch hearts and connect spirits.

This tour faces some unique challenges. I’m tempted toward short-term frustration with issues beyond my control.
It’s a time for an eternal perspective. Our mission isn’t a few days in length. Details that seem like a big deal today will fade. I need to keep that in mind.
It’s hard.
