Selfie Counterculture

I don’t like posting pictures of myself.

It’s intentional. In a selfie culture, maybe it’s bad marketing, but I’m not seeking followers.

This isn’t some false humility. It’s a sincere belief that following this dream is not about me. In the beginning, when we called our journey RICH’S RIDE, I coined an unofficial tagline: It’s not about Rich and it’s not about a ride.

I hope people are attracted to the FREEDOM TOUR for the cause or for the community, or just because they like to ride bikes. Ultimately I hope they’ll follow the One I follow.

But whatever platform I have as a result of all this – doesn’t belong to me. It’s not about me getting a brighter spotlight before a bigger audience.

But –

I do seek to expand the reach of this blog. I’d like more readers, more subscribers, more comments and discussion.

I hope more people join the FREEDOM TOUR community in 2022. I hope more people ride their bikes on a COLORADO MOUNTAIN TOUR or the FREEDOM TOUR CLASSIC. I hope the HOPE & FREEDOM CHALLENGE continues to grow.

I hope our community continues their amazing fundraising to support the kids at the Home of Hope.

And I hope you’ll support us in accomplishing those goals. Not for me, but because people matter. Community matters. The kids matter.

P.S. – I also hope the right people will read Relentless Grace. Not because it’s my book, but because people tell me it’s been helpful. If you or someone you know would benefit from a story of hope and peace, please take a look.
