I think I have a case of rider’s block – no, not a typo.
You’ve heard about writer’s block. A writer is all ready to write, wants to write, has all the necessary tools to write—but the words won’t come. There’s just no inspiration.

Most professional writers will tell you there’s no such thing. “Writer’s block” is mostly an excuse for procrastination, lack of discipline, or plain old laziness.
Anyway, lately I feel like I’ve encountered rider’s block. I feel good, the weather’s been okay, but every day I come up with a reason to not-ride.
No inspiration.
Ever been there? A task you love and really want to do—just not today, not right now?
Honestly, I started wondering if something was wrong. Have I lost my dream? Is this some kind of message from God?
Then I took some early morning time to think and read and listen.

Imagine calling a plumber and hearing, “Sorry, I’m just not feeling it today. I’ll fix that leak when I sense more inspiration.”
Plumber’s block? Don’t think so.
Inspiration is a luxury. It’s great when it happens, but we can’t rely on it to get the work done.
God inspired this dream.
But if I choose to follow, I also must choose faithfulness, the long-term, day-by-day work, trusting the value of each step even when I can’t see it.
