We spend a lot of time taking pictures.
Posed group pictures. Action photos. Scenery. Video. On our Photo Site you can see hundreds of pictures and videos from our rides. If you didn’t know better you’d think capturing images was the whole point.
Memories matter.
Joshua placed an alter of 12 stones at the place Israel entered the Promised Land. He told the people, “In the future when your descendants ask their parents, ‘What do these stones mean?’ tell them, ‘Israel crossed the Jordan on dry ground.’”
When we celebrate The Lord’s Supper we hear Jesus’ words: “Do this in remembrance of me.”
The stones are just stones. The bread and wine are just bread and wine. They’re not magic, but the reminders are powerful. Simple stones remind us of God’s faithfulness and provision. Bread and wine recall ultimate sacrifice and service and humility.
Memories matter. That’s why we take and curate and save the images. It’s why we wear the jerseys and t-shirts. They’re just images and garments, special because of the memories and moments and friendships they represent.
I hope you’ll join us.
- Ride your bike on June 20.
- Volunteer on June 20.
- Ride a multi-day tour.
- Join the support team for a multi-day tour.
You’ll get your very own jersey or t-shirt, which is kinda cool. And, you’ll get memories of smiles, friendships, and being part of something bigger than yourself.
Can’t put a price on that.
