Life’s Not Fair

There’s a lot about life that’s simply not fair.

It’s not fair that a team of people can bring hope and freedom to victims of human trafficking by riding their bikes through beautiful Colorado country on a picture-perfect day.

rich grinIt’s not fair that I get to have all this fun doing something I love with people I respect. We spent most of the day Monday riding, shared a wonderful meal, then ended the day with a great discussion about the nature and character of God’s justice.

It’s not fair that we encounter so many generous people who offer us so much kindness. It’s not fair that we get so many opportunities to share our story and tell people about the kids we’re supporting, or that so many of those folks want to get involved.

I’ve wasted a lot of time in my life complaining about fair and unfair.

Today I grateful God’s more about generosity and grace and giving me what I deserve.

I’m glad life’s not fair.
