That Rain Is COLD!

Just a quick update because it’s Sunday.

Saturday brought our first in-progress rainout of the tour. We started in beautiful, cool, sunny weather in Bradenton, but as we headed north the wind kicked up. At about 25 miles I stopped for what cyclists call a “natural break” and when I came outside a rainstorm had appeared. By now the wind was howling and temps dropping quickly, so we packed up and drove into Tampa.

As a nice surprise, our friend Pastor Mark Orphan from Fort Collins met us for dinner. While we were eating, our friend and cheerleader David Grant called with two Sunday speaking ops. This morning we’ll be at Glad Tidings Church in St Petersburg. Then we meet a reporter from Clearwater and drive to an evening service at Victory Church in Lakeland. I’m hoping to squeeze in a ride as well—we’ll see.

Monday morning we begin week #4 at Ridge Area Arc in Avon Park. Then we’ll be on the road toward Lakeland.

All busy. All fun. Thanks for joining us on this journey of hope.
