Honestly–this post won’t amount to much. I rode 52 miles Thursday, from Carbondale to Cape Girerdeau. It was a great ride, but I’m pretty tired. So we grabbed an early dinner and I’m hitting the pillow.
You know how songs get stuck in your head? It happens to me nearly every day, and four or five hours of cranking along gives those lyrics a lot of time to rattle around.
Today I spent the first 20 miles or so trying to figure out the words to “A Boy Named Sue.” Got all of ’em except the first half of verse 3.
But I had to get the goofy thing out or my head, so I thought about this project’s official theme song.
Many of you haven’t been with us from the beginning, so this seems like a good time to get everyone on board with this amazing song. Even if you’ve heard it before, it’s worth another listen.
This lyric expresses the spirit of RICH’S RIDE:
You can chase a dream that seems so out of reach,
and you know it might not ever come your way.
Dream it anyway.

God is great, but sometimes life ain’t good.
And when I pray it doesn’t always turn out like I think it should.
But I do it anyway.
That’s the whole idea:
Dream it anyway.
