One Certain Statement

What’s the next right thing?

Last time I talked a bit about this pesky question. I even offered some scripture.

But as I thought about it this week, I have to be honest – there are an awful lot of times when I’m really not sure about the next right thing.

I felt like I needed to say that, because my last post made it sound like maybe I have it all figured out.

I don’t.

Maybe you don’t, either. If so, I think it’s okay.

I don’t think there’s anywhere in the Bible that says we’re supposed to have it all figured out, or even that we are supposed to figure it out by ourselves.

The message, over and over, is, “Trust Me. I’ve already got it figured out.”

I don’t think that means we ought to stop trying to do what’s right. It DOES mean we can live release ourselves from the self-imposed prison of believing the future is our responsibility.

We do the best with what we have – and trust Jesus for the outcome.

So, since it’s Friday, perhaps the best thing we can do is start the weekend by hearing Jesus say,

“Trust Me. I’ve already got it figured out.”
