You and I know we live in a broken world.

We know the world isn’t fair. We know we’re surrounded by unkind comments. We know there’s all sorts of injustice. It strikes me, though, that we might be tempted to use this as an excuse.
We might throw up our hands and say, “I can’t fix the world.”
I think it’s pretty clear that Jesus doesn’t expect us to “fix the world.” But he DID invite us to journey with him in the process of building the kingdom – right here and right now.
He invites us to seek justice where we can, even in the face of injustice. He invites us to be fair and kind, even when the world around us isn’t.
When we do those things, we’re creating little pockets of the kingdom.
We’re changing the world.
Supporting 22 kids through rescue and restoration won’t solve human trafficking. That doesn’t mean we’re absolved from responsibility for those 22 kids.
He asked us to do what we can with what we have.
And trust him for the rest.
I’m reminded of this quote from Mother Theresa. https://in.pinterest.com/pin/415738609331735487/
Exactly!
