We recently hired a local company for a small home improvement project.
The two guys who did the job were remarkable. My construction experience helps me recognize people who care about their work. These guys weren’t just doing a job. Everything about their approach told you they took pride in both the process and the results.
It’s easy to tell when someone is doing the bare minimum. We’ve all heard, “That’s not my job.”
And you can see the difference when a person understands and accepts the responsibilities of their role in the bigger story, perhaps a project or a company or a democracy.

The FREEDOM TOUR CLASSIC relies on a small army of volunteers.
Our volunteers don’t have jobs, because this event only works when everyone understands and embraces their role. Each person plays a vital role in God’s big story of justice.
We rely on volunteers who understand and care about the mission. When people know they’re making a real, tangible difference in the lives of 22 precious children, they step in and look for ways to make things work. They’re unlikely to turn away from a task because “it’s not my job.”
It’s pretty overwhelming to see people in FREEDOM TOUR T-shirts scattered all over Northern Colorado with smiles on their faces and love in their hearts.
I’m absolutely certain Jesus uses their efforts in places and ways beyond anything we can imagine.
