I thanked a friend for a generous donation to the kids at the Home of Hope.
I said I appreciated his support of such a worthy cause. He replied, “There are lots of worthy causes.”

My friend’s right. There’s no shortage of worthy causes. His comment got me wondering why people choose to support our kids through the FREEDOM TOUR.
The FREEDOM TOUR is a community of Jesus-followers organized around a mission. Some folks enjoy cycling, some believe in the mission, some value the relationships.
Most of our supporters, I think, are attracted to some aspect of the FREEDOM TOUR community.
I really don’t want to ask people for money. I’d rather invite them into a welcoming circle and ask their permission to tell the kids’ story.
It’s a worn cliché, but I believe people want to be part of God’s big story of justice. When we offer them a place to play their part, we’re pointing them toward Jesus.
What could be better than that?
