I read Seth Godin’s blog nearly every day.
I don’t know where he finds his ideas, but I’m consistently amazed at his insight and creativity.
Recently, Seth observed that the coyote was obviously immortal. He referred, of course, to Wile E Coyote, the cartoon nemesis of the Road Runner.
Falls off cliffs, crashes into walls, explodes. Boulders crush him. He’s always back for more.
More than immortal, the coyote apparently has unlimited wealth to spend on gadgets from ACME, INC.
What would you and I do if we were blessed with these sorts of gifts?
I hope we wouldn’t squander them on risky, meaningless ventures…just because we could get by with it.
I hope we wouldn’t bounce from one short-term quest to the next.
I hope we would invest and share and sacrifice. I hope we would contribute to something meaningful.

This weekend, a small army of cyclists and volunteers will blanket Northern Colorado with a message of hope. They’ll smile and sweat because they believe kids ought to live in freedom.
The FREEDOM TOUR CLASSIC happens because so many people decide to sacrifice a weekend morning. They trade short-term comfort for something bigger.
One smile, one pedal stroke, one act of service at a time. It’s how we bring hope and freedom to kids rescued from human trafficking.
It’s how the kingdom happens.

Couldn’t resist.
