As part of the FREEDOM TOUR, we get to do fun stuff.
Becky and I spent 2 days this week scouting routes for the COLORADO MOUNTAIN TOUR. We drove several hundred miles on the beautiful mountain roads surrounding the Gunnison Valley. We checked out road conditions, lunch stops, bathroom availability – all the details that make a bike route work.
Tough work, visiting all those amazing spots, but somebody’s gotta do it.
In 2 months, our team will head back to Gunnison and travel those same routes. This time we’ll be riding bikes to support the kids at the Home of Home. Months of training and preparation will all come together as our team rides, eats, learns, and laughs together.
Why? Why all this work for 4 days of cycling?
Because – it’s not about riding bikes. People ride those routes all the time, but our tour, our team, is about something bigger.
At its core, like Becky said a few weeks ago, it’s about hope.
We want to share that hope with our supporters, with people we meet along the road. With you.
We cycle to bring hope and freedom to kids rescued from human trafficking.
