Pete’s Century

Pete signed up last week for the FREEDOM TOUR CLASSIC.

He’ll ride 100 miles on June 18th. Impressive, right?

Pete added this comment to his registration fee. “The thought of children in the sex slave trade sickens me!”

Yeah. We’re all repulsed by this sick, evil reality. So, what do we do?

Well, Pete did something simple, and remarkable.

He joined our donation page. He’ll send notes to friends and family, and tell them about his ride. He’ll invite them to be part of the team, part of the journey, as they support the kids at the Home of Hope.

Pete is discovering that his friends and family are grateful to be invited. They’re excited about joining his team, supporting him and a cause he’s passionate about.

He’s discovering the difference between fundraising and inviting people into a story.

Nobody likes fundraising, feeling like they’re being hustled and cajoled. But most people are eager and thankful to be part of a story, a journey, especially with people they love.

So…why tell you about Pete?

What if lots of riders, runners, and walkers followed Pete’s example? Just imagine how much farther our miles would go and how many more people would become part of the circle.

It’s pretty easy. Our fundraising kit includes everything you need, including step-by-step instructions and sample letters.

Set up a page. Send a few notes to close friends and family. Share your journey.

Every journey is better together.
