We couldn’t do it without us.
In this case the “it” I’m thinking about is the FREEDOM TOUR. We’re celebrating our 10th anniversary, and none of it could happen without us.
It’s a broader notion, of course. The USAmerican myths of rugged individualism and pulling ourselves up by our own bootstraps are just that – myths.
We were created in the image of a community, designed to live in community.
So this celebration, 10 years of the FREEDOM TOUR and all the rides that came before it – it belongs to us. To the cyclists, the volunteers, the sponsors and donors. To the churches who hosted us and fed us. To everyone who prayed for us.
This celebration belongs to the amazing circle of people who surrounded us and encouraged us.
We couldn’t do it…without us.

As we celebrate, let’s remember – we do all this to bring hope and freedom to kids rescued from human trafficking. We do it to support the 22 precious children at Project Rescue’s Home of Hope.
You, of course, are part of us and I really hope you’ll join the party. You can cycle, walk, run, or volunteer. You’ll have fun, make new friends, and become a part of God’s big story of justice.
VOLUNTEER on June 18th. The FREEDOM TOUR CLASSIC needs a small army of volunteers to operate rest stops, drive support vehicles, take photos & videos, and do all the tasks that make this amazing event possible.
FREEDOM TOUR CLASSIC has become a yearly celebration. It’s circled on the cycling calendar for a growing community of riders.
You can choose from 5 routes, including a brand new 100-Mile Century Route. On each route you’ll experience the beauty of Fort Collins and Northern Colorado.
Whether you’re in Northern Colorado or out of state, FREEDOM TOUR CLASSIC offers a great day of cycling, fun, and food with wonderful people in beautiful surroundings to support the kids at the Home of Hope…what could be better than that?
