When you hire someone, especially for minimum wage, you often get minimum effort, just enough to get by. You end up coercing and cajoling and supervising and fixing.
Our volunteers tend to see needs and go above-and-beyond to meet them. They’re not interested in just enough. They seem to want their piece of the experience to be filled with remarkable, with big smiles and great memories.
