Yesterday I asked “Will It Work?”
Hedge our bet. Anticipate the likelihood that some unknown that might keep the dream from actually happening. While we dream, you and I hold a spot for “What happens if it doesn’t work?”
Better question, I think:
What happens if it DOES work?
What happens if you do that big, crazy, outrageous, God-sized thing and it works out? What if, like Becky and me, you hang up a sign and invite people on a bike ride to support some kids at a HOME OF HOPE. What happens if a few folks actually say, “Okay, we’re in.”
What happens then?
What happens if God uses your initial efforts in ways you didn’t imagine and the dream grows? If one ride turns into five years and hundreds of cyclists and support people and even a second tour in the mountains? Are you ready for the joys and problems and hard work and criticism and rewards?
We dream that big dream and the biggest fear is it might not work. But what if we’re serious about the whole “trust God” thing? What if we believe He’ll actually keep His promise and use what we do in big, powerful ways?
What happens then? Are you ready?
