Makes sense, I suppose, to fight something you oppose. But be careful. You tend to steer where you look.
Focus on the thing you hate, and you end up immersed in a whole lot of hate.
Focus on what you love, what you’re willing to fight for, and you get a different result.
At the FREEDOM TOUR we oppose human trafficking. It’s a horrific, unimaginable crime that impacts as many as 36 million people worldwide, many of them children. It’s easy to stare into such darkness and become angry and hateful.
We cycle to bring hope and freedom to kids rescued from human trafficking.
We choose to ride toward Hope. Freedom. Rescue. We choose to focus on light rather than darkness.
HOPE changes what’s possible. Darkness and hatred can’t do that.
The key, I think, is to first choose who you follow. Eyes focused on Jesus will always move toward love.
