“Facts are the enemy of truth!”
So said Don Quixote de la Mancha. And you might wonder about the judgment of someone who seeks wisdom from a fictional dreamer who imagined himself to be a knight and thought windmills were enemies to be vanquished.
Don Quixote may have been mad, but he saw in his insanity a world beyond that which can be expressed with mere facts. Don Quixote believed in impossible dreams, in love and chivalry and grace and other noble things for which the world finds little evidence. His madness allowed him to live a life worth living.

I can list all sorts of facts about FRONT RANGE FREEDOM TOUR. The evidence clearly shows we’re doing a worthwhile thing, and I’m not sure the evidence does much to convince you to get involved. Honestly, I’ve become convinced that listing facts might actually turn folks away.
The truth about this project is found in a dream, a vision of being part of something bigger than yourself. It’s found in personal challenge and forming deep, lifelong relationships.
Those who demand “just the facts” will shy away from the mystery and wonder of this sort of truth.
Facts are indeed the enemy of truth…when they’re used to limit the world we’re willing to envision.
