Sam Berns died on January 10, 2014.
He succombed to complications from Progeria (Hutchinson-Gilford Progeria Syndrome), a rare and fatal genetic condition characterized by an appearance of accelerated aging in children. Most children with Progeria don’t live past their teens.
Honestly, watching this video, it’s difficult not to feel just a bit sorry for Sam and his family, but I’m pretty sure that’s the last thing he would want.
