Can You Write A Non-Blog?

Today’s post is sort of a non-post, because yesterday got sort of long.

grand canyon

I’m sure there’s a more majestic place to ride than the south rim of the Grand Canyon, but I haven’t been there yet. We got a perfect fall day to enjoy this incredible treasure, though it was just like the rest of this ride—more hills than I expected.

unaWe got back to Flagstaff just in time to speak to about eighty Chi Alpha students at University of Northern Arizona. They were great, and the after-the-talk discussions were wonderful. But the result was a late night and a non-blog blog.

We’ll be back tomorrow with more thoughts about hills, climbs, and life.

This week’s going to be nuts for cycling. We accepted speaking dates based on our planned itinerary, then received a gracious invitation to speak both Monday and Tuesday evening to the Chi Alpha students in Flagstaff.

We figured we’d work in some early morning/late afternoon riding. Then we talked to local bikers and discovered there’s not much safe cycling in the Sedona area.

So most likely there’ll be no riding today while we drive to Sedona and back to Flagstaff. We’ll re-assess and get the rest of the week figured out so we can keep cranking.

This is about sharing the story first and riding second. We’ll ride when we can, but the speaking engagements take priority.

276 miles behind us—gotta keep cranking toward Tucson.
