Today we met our team for the IJM Freedom Tour.
It was an intense experience, meeting twenty-seven people from all across the country who came together for a whole variety of reasons. But one thing became clear: this group shares a passion for battling the issues of human trafficking, slavery, and forced sexual bondage.
One person said he was told that it’s crazy to ride a bike 500 miles to help victims of violent opression.
I agree, especially when many of these folks are relatively inexperienced cyclists. 100-mile days of hills, heat, and humidity is just nuts.
I also agree with his response. There’s only one thing crazier than riding a bike 500 miles: knowing about these horrors and doing nothing.
