One week from today I’ll begin my quest to ride my hand cycle 1500 miles.
One of my goals is to involve as many folks as possible. I want you “in” this project.
A few folks can take the time to travel to the Mississippi River and physically ride along for a day or more. I’d love to see you along the way, but I also realize that’s not practical for many of you.
So how about taking on your own “1500 challenge”?
What if you, your family, your small group, or your co-workers took on some sort of eight week quest to do 1500 of something?
- You could do 1500 sit-ups or pushups, or log 1500 minutes walking or riding bikes with your kids.
- You could volunteer for 1500 minutes at a local food bank, school, or some other worthwhile community organization.
- Your family could accumulate 1500 miles (or kilometers) of bike riding.
- Your small group could spread the word about this project to 1500 people.
If you wish, you could make a pledge to Convoy of Hope as part of your 1500 mile challenge. You might even find some sponsors to encourage you.
But it’s really not about the money. It’s about doing something meaningful and worthwhile and being part of this bigger circle.
So … what’s your personal 1500 challenge? I’d love to hear what you’re planning.
One week—it’s going to be a blast!
A fun note: Rich’s Ride was featured on Denver’s NBC affiliate last night. See the story here.
I wanted to let you know you wrote a great article.
