Continue

Happy Monday.

Week two on the road with Rich’s Ride, and we’re immersed in the word-of-the-week…

CONTINUE

When you’re in the middle of an adventure, sometimes you just need to continue.

The excitement of beginning has faded, the conclusion’s far off. You didn’t think much about the time in the middle when you planned and created the vision, but it’s part of the journey.

If you want to reach the goal, you gotta continue.

I think the trick is to remember that the journey matters. It’s a cliché, but that doesn’t make it wrong. Life is a journey, not a destination.

I’m already realizing that this incredible project will end much too quickly, and I don’t want to miss a moment. I don’t want to wish away this precious time.

And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us … Hebrews 12:1b

We seek not only to finish well, but to travel well. So we’ll keep going and do our best to capture the flavor and spirit of each day. We seek to be open the opportunities God offers along the way.

We’ll continue.

Today we’ll be on Faith Radio Network in Minneapolis (AM 900) at 7:05 am. We’ll speak to students at North Central University’s chapel service. Then we’ll speak to an assembly at Hillcrest Academy in Bloomington.

And … oh, yeah … we’ll try to ride for a couple of hours. This is a bike, ride, right?
