A Million Miles

Happy Saturday!

I don’t usually do book reviews here. No particular reason, except maybe I’m not sure I am enough of an authority to tell someone else what they ought to read.

But I saw a staggering statistic—70% of U.S. households did not purchase a single book last year! Even if that’s off by 20% it’s still frightening. So I’m going to do my small part to impact that.

Now of course you’re not part of this non-book group since you’ve already read Relentless Grace, right? But if you’re looking for another book that might have a powerful effect on the way you look at life, I highly recommend A Million Miles In A Thousand Years by Donald Miller.

The best description I can offer is that Million Miles changed the way I view my choices. Since completing it, I find myself using Don’s language whenever I think about where I want to take my personal journey. Whenever a book gets into my head like that I know the writer has truly made an impact.

If you decide to read Million Miles, I encourage you to work through to the end. I found that about a third of the way through Don’s story I wasn’t sure where it was going, and I put it down for a few days. I’m really glad I picked it back up and finished it.

Million Miles is a penetrating look at one man’s discovery of a fresh way to live a better life. If you’ve already read it, please leave a comment and let us know your response. If you haven’t, I’d encourage you to take a look.

Have a great weekend. Read something!
