Seems like everyone’s taking sides.
We’re divided along political lines, racial lines, gender, social, ethnic, cultural, generational lines. We’ve drawn lines everywhere, and it seems like everyone is supposed to pick a side.
Stranger still, we’re all pretty sure God’s on our side.
Thing is, dividing and taking sides isn’t what God does.
We have an enemy who divides. He loves it when we stand on opposite sides of just about any line.
God reconciles, unites, brings together.
The idea isn’t to figure out how get God on my side.
The idea is to figure out how to get myself on God’s side. I think that means erasing lines.
