A Team And Miles Of Love

HomeWe’ve got our team!

Twelve cyclists and two full-time support drivers will make the 500-mile trip together from Cheyenne to Raton Pass. It’s gonna be a blast!

I’m anxious to tell you more about these committed folks and all the other people who will help us accomplish our mission. Today I want to let you in on something we’re doing to prepare for the journey.

We’re riding to support the kids at Project Rescue’s HOME OF HOPE, and we want them to know it’s about more than one week and dollars. So we’re going to track our team training miles, beginning this week. During the next seven weeks we’ll fill this house with Miles Of Love.

It’s our small, intentional, visible way of remembering why we train and showing children half a world away that we love them. We hope they’ll follow along, watch the house fill, and somehow feel God’s love with every pedal stroke.

Want to join us? Pick out your own project. Put nickels in a jar and donate them, but talk as a family about what’s happening. Take your grand kids for walks and talk to people who are otherwise ignored…and make sure the kids understand.

You get the idea. Draw something and put it on the fridge and color it in, and talk about why you’re doing it.

Let us know what you’re doing in the comments. I’ll update our house each week so you and the kids in New Delhi can follow along.

A friend expressed concern about what might happen if we fail to fill the house. After thinking a while, I decided that’s not a problem.

God provides plenty of love. We just have to ride bikes.

    Good morning Becky
I’m getting ready to start this week’s miles. Last week I had 3 trainer rides oof 1 hour 15 min. Each for approx 15 +miles each. I’m staying on by running schedule and logged 3 runs at 11 miles total.
