I appreciate people who do faith in real life.
I know folks who seem to believe following Jesus means withdrawing from the world, isolating themselves from those who think or act differently. That’s fine for them, I guess, but I’m drawn to those who want to mix it up with life without compromising what really matters.
Mark Wahlberg certainly doesn’t portray a typical nicey-nice Christian image, and his past isn’t something we want to hold up as a model. But he’s found peace and reconciliation in circumstances that would have buried most people. I like his respectful, matter-of-fact way of sharing his faith.
In this interview, listen to his answer to the question, “What do you pray for?”
