Well, we started our latest tour Monday. From a dog’s perspective, it was kind of a letdown.
First, I usually get to run with Rich when he starts. But today he started in the middle of this big city with a lot of traffic, so I stayed with Becky. I like being with her, but running with the bike is my favorite thing. I hope we get this fixed tomorrow.
I also heard about new stuff I was going to see. I don’t know what an ocean or a beach is like, but they’re supposed to be part of this trip. We didn’t see any of them, but Becky says we will tomorrow.
Here’s the thing about our team—all the outside stuff really doesn’t matter. I said the day was a letdown, but that’s really a doggie joke. As long as we’re doing stuff together, everything else is going to be okay.
I think Rich had a good day riding. He said he cranked about 49 miles, whatever that means. I’m just a dog—what do I know about miles? He seemed pretty tired, probably because he rode his bike in the garage for so long. That’s still a really dumb idea.
Becky and I had fun. We took walks while we waited for Rich. I like walks.
Late in the day we met a really nice TV reporter who scratched my ears and paid a lot of attention to me. She took lots of pictures, and her camera guy wanted photos of me for his girlfriend. Rich told her I’m the “people magnet” on the team.
I think this is going to be fun. I’m sure I’ll get to see a beach and an ocean soon, and I’m still waiting to find one of those alligator things. They sound really cool.
I hope you’re following along. This is a pretty special team, and we want you to be part of it.
Check out some photos from day 1.
