Happy Monday! Welcome to word-of-the-week day here at Bouncing Back. This week’s word is …
VACATION
Today’s post comes to you from the road on the way to Sonoma, California. I finally convinced my lovely wife to take a much-needed and well-deserved break, so we’re off for about ten days of R&R.
We haven’t taken a real vacation in a number of years, though at times living in northern Colorado feels like a permanent vacation. Still, it’s good to get away, slow down a bit, and re-charge. It’s awfully easy to let busy become a way of life and find excuses to put off the rest we all need from time to time.
Vacations don’t have to involve long trips or expensive destinations. Sometimes a book, a lawn chair, and a silent TV can provide just the refreshing break you need. But however you accomplish it, I hope you’ll make time to relax and allow things to settle down.
While we’re gone, the blog posts will continue. I’m going to dig into the archives for a few articles that many of you may have missed. I’ll still be checking email and comments, so please keep the discussion going.
Wherever you are, I’m wishing you a break and some time for peace and a change of pace.
God bless.
